Words from the Creator

description

A semi-symphonic, orchestral loop intended to be used as battle music.

This was my first attempt at music created specifically for a video game; I believe its primary flaw lies in its lack of theme. Any critiques or suggestions are welcomed!

The synchopated at the start were really cool. For a second I thought you had made a mistake, but then I smiled, great way to introduce the piece.

A couple of times it felt like the jumps were too big between some of the background parts, but I really liked the chaotic feel of it.

I thought that the repeating parts made up for lack of a theme, it was nice throwing back to the start at the end, and I don't really think it needs a breakdown, it's nice as it is.

Good work

Thank you both! I might revisit this if I ever create a workable motif for it.

And, to YGgamer, percussion is an excellent suggestion! It seems that it should have been an obvious inclusion in the initial draft.

Hmm it's very good. It's just maybe a bit too chaotic. Like omni said you could have a few slower parts and this could also help build up and create climaxes. It also feels like it's missing something... some sort of percussion or an instrument to keep track of timing so the listener doesn't get so lost in between all the parts. Overall though, really nice.

Nice. I can definitely see it in a boss battle.
As for lacking any theme, that's alright, for, being background music/central theme isn't necessary. In fact, it can sometimes be harmful and distracted the player. Though this song does border on being a little formless. It still as some nice bits. Also, though it is a boss battle song, you could a few slower parts to give the listener a little breather. It's a bit excessively in your face at the moment. Still, as I said, overall it's definitely a good boss battle song.
